Churchie is currently seeking a Subject Coordinator and Senior School Teacher with Earth and Environmental Science specialisation.
This is a full-time teaching position and fixed term promotional position commencing immediately.
The successful applicant will be energetic and motivated staff member, keen to develop and delivery high quality teaching programmes within the Science faculty. We want all our staff to develop professionally in a collegial and high performing culture, dedicate to supporting students to achieve academically, flourish as individuals and become life-long learners.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated a deep and broad subject knowledge base, supported by academic excellence and continuing commitment to lifelong learning
- Teachers of General Science Years 7-12, with a specialisation in Earth and Environmental Science would be considered favourably. Graduates with a Geology or Environmental Science background would be suitable for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the planning, learning and assessing principles of effective teaching and learning
- Proven excellence as a classroom practitioner, employing strategies that engage all students, deploying group individual learning opportunities to sustain a literacy-rich curriculum with technology as a tool to enhance learning outcomes
- Capacity to display common-sense, maturity, good judgement, and discretion in all matters relating to the boys and their families.

- Hold registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
