Environmental Operations Coordinator
About the team
Lead a collaborative and innovative team of 5 environmental scientists who provide support to operations, maintenance, and construction teams in managing high-risk environmental activities. Be part of a high performing team that are dedicated to ensuring compliance with legislation and enhancing environmental performance.
About your new role
In this leadership role you will provide expert technical advice, support, and training to the team regarding effective environmental management. You will be leading environmental monitoring programs and incident response activities, supporting infrastructure teams by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and authorities. You will coordinate regulatory reporting, develop environmental improvement plans, and maintain environmental management systems to achieve and surpass environmental goals and best practice sustainability objectives.

We're looking for people who have:
You are an individual who has a strong interest in the environment and are passionate about mentoring and guiding a team towards delivering best practice environmental outcomes.
Additionally, you will have:
- Environmental knowledge around legislation, legal requirements, waste and resource management, water and sewerage and/or construction management
- Skills in building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in process and business improvement initiatives aligned with environmental goals
- A Bachelor Degree of Environmental Science (Management) or Equivalent Knowledge
