Sublimation Machinist
Job Summary:
Sublimation Machinists are responsible for working as part of a team to print and press Struddys in-house sublimation orders under the direction of the Production Manager and the Production Supervisor. They must adhere to Struddys quality control standards at all times and consistently meet production deadlines set by management. The role may require flexible work hours during peak times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate laser cutter and heat press machinery as trained by staff.
- Strictly adhere to deadlines supplied by the Production Manager and Coordinator.
- Follow sublimation policies and procedures at all times.
- Update the tracker system through all steps of the process.
- Basic Machine Maintenance
- Operate and run jobs according to order forms.
- Perform quality control on all prints to ensure garments meet the highest standards.
- Ensure all garments are pressed on the correct fabric.
- Complete any reprints required by the sewers urgently.
- Turn on and off printers and presses in the sublimation area as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times.
- Report wasted fabric to the Production Supervisor.
- Report any Workplace Health and Safety hazards to the Production Supervisor.
- May be required to work flexible hours during peak times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Driver’s licence (desirable).
- Able to work under pressure.
- Ability to follow directions.
