Substations Technical Service Person

Our Operations division has a permanent opportunity for a Substation Technical Service Persons / Electrical Fitter Mechanic in Maryborough.

About your new role:

As a Substations Technical Service Person / Electrical Fitter Mechanic you are a multi skilled or specialist worker exercising trade skills under limited supervision and assisting in the provision of on-the-job training to others in their work team.

You are responsible for completing substation maintenance and construction projects on the job site, to meet quality and time targets.

The remuneration for your new role is from $101,800 plus allowances, plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight.

About you:

You are a team player with a positive attitude with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships and be part of a diverse and inclusive team, working together to deliver outstanding outcomes with a safety-first attitude towards our people, customers, and communities.

Critical to your success in this role is your:

• Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
• Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
• Availability for call out and emergency work.
• Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
• Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
• You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical.
