- Oversee, direct, and coordinate daily activities of the mining contractor to ensure adherence to the mine plan, schedules and budgets.
- Manage resources effectively, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to maximise productivity and minimise costs.
- Utilise your in-depth knowledge of underground mining methods, techniques, and equipment to optimise development, ore extraction and materials handling processes.
- Coordination of enabling capital infrastructure projects.
- Involvement in Operational Readiness assessments, studies, standards and execution.
- Collaborate with geology, geotechnical, environment, approvals, engineering, and site implementation teams to ensure alignment of mine plans with business objectives.
- Provide strong leadership with onsite routine inspections, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Western Australian Underground Mining Supervisor or Underground Manager (non-coal) Certificate.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in underground mining operations, with a minimum of 7 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or a related field. (Desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Contractor Management experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes.
