Form of workOpportunity for an experienced Regional Operations Manager/Superintendent to work on the Telstra Fixed Network programs from the Milton QLD office.

Downer is a leading provider of end-to-end Technology & Communications service solutions & offers integrated civil construction, electrical, fibre, copper & radio network deployment capability. We now have an opportunity for a Superintendent/Regional Lead to join the team based out of Milton/Brisbane QLD.
About the role
Utilising your project management & telecommunications experience you will manage the Telstra Fixed Networks business across QLD and Northern Territory by leading a team & deliver projects within the region. This includes but is not limited to:
- Active day to day administration of the various Head Contracts.
- Successful project delivery will be contingent upon the State Lead's active leadership and participation in the key areas of Project Planning, Project Delivery, Request for Tender estimating, preparation and submissions to client, Subcontractor Management, Risk Management, Project Reporting, Cost Optimisation and Project Close Out.
- Managing a Zero Harm safety culture throughout the delivery of the services.
- Management & coaching of people/teams to drive performance including the development of key talent within the region.
- Managing & developing strong relationships with clients, workforce & suppliers to enhance project performance.
- Tertiary Qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Communications or Business Management desirable.
- Extensive project/operations management experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in process development & continuous improvement.
- Demonstrable experience in the Communications Industry coupled with excellent knowledge of the relevant standards & regulations.
- Proven Subcontractor Management.
- Working knowledge of Telstra Wideband & Minor Works program of work, technology & delivery methodology.
- Sound working knowledge of risk management principles & application of process.
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
