Your Opportunity

Our business is experiencing continuing growth, and we are actively seeking experienced Civil Supervisors with a background in construction projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager or Project Director, these positions will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of blue-collar employees, subcontractors, plant, materials, and logistics, ensuring all construction activities are controlled and coordinated in accordance with Decmil and Client standards while meeting/exceeding quality, time, safety, and profit objectives.

These roles will be on a 2/1 FIFO roster with applicable project uplifts.

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting Project management to champion a culture of high-performance onsite.
• Demonstrating strong and visible leadership skills through your behaviours, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Supporting the Project Manager and Construction Manager in the delivery of work program(s), including participation in weekly reviews, plan construction works and activities.
• Ensuring agreed work program requirements are met for each component of the project and report variances to Project Manager.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the Contract to ensure ongoing compliance with the scope of work, specifications, drawings and subcontracts.
• Supporting Construction Manager, Superintendent and Engineers to formulate, review and monitor work program(s) and programs for each section of work to be completed.
• Monitoring and controlling costs within your remit, particularly direct costs of plant and labour ensuring optimisation of available resources.
• Effective communication, information flows, procedures and records necessary to facilitate delivery of contract and quality requirements.
• Managing QC testing making sure it is conducted as per the client's specification.
• Ensuring that there is no deviation from drawings and relevant specifications without prior approval from Project Manager and/or the Client.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a Civil Supervisor overseeing work on large construction projects.
• Trade qualification and/or experience in construction-related discipline as required.
• Preferably a minimum of 5 years' previous Leading Hand or Supervisory experience.
• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred.
• Construction induction white card.
• Current Australian 'C' class manual Drivers Licence.
• Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, loyalty, and performance management.
• Proven performance on successful projects with an exemplary safety track record.
• Sound and proven ability and knowledge in construction and project execution.
• Demonstrated safe delivery of work and commitment to ongoing safety improvement.
