About the Opportunity:
We are searching for a Supervisor / Sake Sommelier at Yugen Omakase.
Located on our mezzanine, the Omakase experience is a melding of contemporary Japanese and Australian culinary techniques complimented by our elevated beverage pairings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide guests through the Yugen experience, ensuring they have an exceptional experience by consistently delivering high-quality service.
- Recommend beverage pairings to compliment the menu offering and maximise sales.
- Maintain highest level of personal wine, grower and supplier knowledge, being up to date with latest products, influences, growing regions and vintages.
- Support the managers to ensure smooth service operations.
- Lead by example with impeccable product knowledge, support and participate in the continuous training and development of the team.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role a Sommelier in fine dining restaurant environments.
- Valid Victorian RSA.
- WSET level 3 or CMS certification.
- WSET level 3 Sake knowledge.
- Strong wine knowledge.
- Excellent presentation.
- Pressure management mind set with an ability to multitask.
- Strong leadership skills with attention to detail.
