About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Senior Packing & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for planning and controlling all functions of the Packhouse on the Wednesday to Saturday shift and all Packhouse and Logistics functions occurring on Saturday. Primarily ensuring that customer orders are packed efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Managing a large team of 60 - 70 staff
- Working with Supervisors on performance management, performance appraisals and employee relations issues with the support of HR
- Spending 80% of time on the production floor, focusing attention on under performing lines
- Working with Supervisors to implementing improvements
- Identifying and resolving basic machinery fixes to ensure maximum production
- Training and development of team members
- Quality control and improvements with a focus on waste reduction
- Health and Safety
Previous experience fast paced production environment is desirable, along with a solid skillset in people management and process improvement. This role will suit someone with strong interpersonal and management skills who can successfully lead the team to achieve business and department KPI's to maximise production and efficiency.
