Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Structures Supervisor to join the M80 Ring Road project. As a Civil Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing this major infrastructure project, ensuring it’s executed with precision and in adherence to safety and quality standards. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, the Structures Supervisor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
The Project
AMA (Acciona, MACA, AECOM) has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Ring Road Completion, part of the North East Link Project. This covers design and construction between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the northern tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of new freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Scope
- 6 bridges (3 integral road bridges, 2 simply supported multi-span road bridges and 1 simply supported pedestrian bridge).
- Mix of post-tensioned and pre-tensioned structural elements.
- Bored pile foundations.
- Pre-cast retaining walls.
- Transform the existing underpasses.
- Efficient application and deployment of labour, plant and other resources to the area or areas of the project allocated.
- Responsible for the safe undertaking of all works on your site on any given day, including the safety of all site personnel.
- Participate in or conduct site audits, client meetings, sign-offs, safety inspections and other requirements, at appropriate stages for each project; and
- Review budgets and KPI’s for allocated projects monthly and flag any issues with Discipline Leads
- 10 years’ hands-on experience as a Supervisor/Leading Hand/Operator in the construction engineering industry, in related disciplines such as Structures and earthworks and associated civil infrastructure
- Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety (or similar Safety Leadership-type program)
- Experience working in Victorian major infrastructure projects
- Trade certificate or similar
