We are looking for a Civil Supervisor to join the Urban Utilities Regional Treatment Plants (RTP) Program team based in Bundamba, QLD.
John Holland with design partner GHD will deliver the RTP scope which involves a program of upgrades and renewal works to treatment plants, pipelines & pump stations in Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley & the Scenic Rim.
Your role will involve coordinating on-site teams to deliver scopes of work as per project plans and specifications. You will also be responsible for implementing site safety, quality control, and environmental measures, as well as identifying and assessing potential risks.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Contribute to development of work methods and plan daily/weekly production work.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed.
- Complete progress reporting and ensure consistent reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager.
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environmental management.
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs.
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to building a risk management culture.
- Train and develop Leading Hands.
What we are looking for:
- Supervisor with previous civil or water infrastructure experience.
- Experience with reviewing design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
- People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
- Passion for driving a positive working culture.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
