THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join us at Bayswater. Reporting to the Supplier Quality Development Manager, you will be analysing and reporting on data, while supporting the suppliers’ improvement activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical training and support on improvement activities
- Monitor, analyse and report quality and delivery reliability performance of suppliers
- Contribute to the development of improvement strategies for suppliers in conjunction with SQM
- Develop and integrate data collection systems
- Reconcile records between Kenworth and suppliers
- Attend weekly Defective Material Report Review meeting
- Review supplier contacts and Defective Material Reporting Management system
- Other duties and projects as required
ABOUT YOU
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Practical knowledge and experience in Quality Control tools
- Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder management
- Outstanding organisational and negotiation skills
- Truck product knowledge (Kenworth & DAF preferred)
- Great mechanical aptitude
- Eyes for process improvement
