About us:
Roy Gripske and Sons are a family owned and run business seeking a Supply and Distribution Manager to oversee the day to day operation of our warehouse facility in Laverton North.
The role:
Reporting to the State Branch Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating the supply, storage and Distribution of goods into and out of the warehouse. As our largest goods warehouse in a densely populated state, this role is of critical importance to ensure the efficient flow of goods in and out to support the sales team and their goals
What we are looking for:
This role is a hands on role, and a thorough understanding of warehouse inventory on hand, as well as understanding incoming future inventory will be essential for you to effectively plan the storage and daily operations of the warehouse. Some key responsibilities will include
- Determine, implement and monitor strategies and procedures for the storage and Distribution of goods from the warehouse
- Monitor inventory item levels, ensuring proper stock rotation and liaising with procurement
- Monitor and review the company’s transport and logistics partners, ensuring service level and price KPI targets are met
- Direct the activities of the warehouse staff
- Implement recording systems for the inwards processing of items, ensuring checks and balances against commercial invoices
- Monitor and review shipping reports, identifying peak delivery times and create plans for the smooth execution of items in and out
The successful candidate will have qualifications and relevant previous experience in warehousing / logistics or a related field. Warehousing experience in automotive / mechanical parts and specialised large scale finished goods finished goods would be highly regarded.
Remuneration
We are open from 7:30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday and this position will be a rostered 38 hour week within these timeframes, with a base annual salary range of $80,000 - $90,000.
