We are currently seeking a Supply and Distribution Manager to join our team. You will report to our Operations Manager.
The role

Key responsibilities
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:-
• Analyse and manage stock levels and establishing order schedules
• Maintain required stock levels, purchasing, storage and Distribution strategies.
• Reviewing and complying with contracts by suppliers to meet quality, cost and Distribution requirements.
• Operating IT systems to manage timings and costs of shipments.
• Managing staff and ensuring smooth operations between departments
• Ensuring smooth operations of delivery schedules and track all movements of supplies and finished goods including coordinating drivers focusing on safety and deliverables
• Analyse data to assess operational performance, identify logistical complications and devise improvement plans.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, such as health and safety regulations
• Proactive management of waste
• Responsible for managing staff roster using production forecasts to meet deadlines in particular during peak seasons and stock levels
• Manage and control inventory by conducting regular stock takes and audits
• Manage operation of docks, dispatch/receiving area and schedule rosters for the department
• Liaise with Distribution Centre’s in regards to logistics and shipping requirements
Requirements
This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a minimum 5 years experience. To be considered for the role you must have:
• Able to work well in a team, and also independently in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to work shift work, including nights and weekends
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and aptitude to work
• Thorough attention to detail and proactive attitude to work
• Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft programs i.e. Word and Excel.
• An understanding and commitment to quality systems.
