An opportunity to be part of this growth trajectory is the newly created role of Supply Chain Lead - New Business. Applications are now invited from experienced Supply Chain professionals for this new senior role within our Australia Sector.Reporting to the Supply Chain Director our new Supply Chain Lead - New Business, will work collaboratively with the QinetiQ leadership and other QinetiQ functional team members to deliver high quality, innovative and intelligence led Supply Chain and procurement strategies for major business winning activities across the Australia Sector (which include business entities in Australia, Canada, Ashford Kent UK and Germany.The Supply Chain Lead - New Business is a senior position and will:
- Provide leadership and strategic advice in relation to Supply Chain solutions for major investments and strategic business winning opportunities
- Act as a key advisor for continued margin improvement through procurement strategies
- Be responsible for leading a best in class Supply Chain and procurement investment design and solution service for the business, consistent with Australia Sector strategies, plans and procedures.
- Work as part of an integrated bid team, develop the Supply Chain solution and provide strategic guidance and expertise in accordance with QinetiQ's Procurement, Export Compliance, Risk Management, Estimating, Finance and other related policies and practice
- Lead the review and development of the Supply Chain and Trade Compliance aspects of assigned bids, proposals and contracts.
- Provide expert advice on procurement discipline to other functions and teams to support opportunity win strategies
- Have a laser focus on risks associated with capital investment, supplier engagement and market tends.
- The ability to distil and communicate complex investment and Supply Chain solutions to senior leaders, delegated authorities, and cross functional stakeholders.
- Extensive leadership experience with a strong knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain or related field
- Experience in capital investment, financial modelling, client solution development or similar industry experience.
- Demonstrated complex stakeholder management (internal and external) and influencing skills
- The ability to integrate and collaborate across multiple geographical locations, time zones and cultures
- An outcomes focused approach to capability development and uplift through ongoing continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring
- Military or related industry experience preferred but not essential
