Savino del Bene is a global Supply Chain and logistics business. Our Australian business is looking to employ a Supply Chain Manager on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of international Supply Chains – especially as they relate to the transportation, storage and distribution of perishable goods - and tools that streamline transportation and inventory maintenance. The candidate must also possess excellent problem-solving mindset, have rigorous attention to detail, as well as a capacity to stay organized as they manage a large network of suppliers and distributors both in Australia and abroad. The candidate will be expected to drive innovation and transformation within the business.
Objectives of this role
The candidate must:
- Oversee the arrangements for the receipt of inventory imported to Australia, as well as the storage and distribution of that inventory within Australia.
- Oversee the arrangements for the receipt of inventory being exported, as well as the storage and shipment of that inventory to clients outside Australia.
- Analyze Supply Chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational efficiency.
- Identify risks within the existing Supply Chain framework, especially associated with the receipt, storage and distribution of perishable goods and take steps to mitigate these risks.
- Work with stakeholders within and outside Australia to ensure the effective receipt and distribution of inventory.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure appropriate terms and ensure a reliable supply of materials and services.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure an appropriate level of stock is maintained.
- Oversee and manage a team of Supply Chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to operations, especially as they apply to perishable goods.
The successful candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in addition to appropriate qualifications. International experience and experience managing the supply and distribution of perishable goods is essential.
