Our client is a leading player in the healthcare/medical device industry, dedicated to driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner. The Role:
In this role you will be supporting the Supply Chain Manager to achieve the best from the team through strong leadership, coaching and mentoring.
The focus of the role is to build strong relationships with their suppliers. To deliver excellent service whilst optimizing stock levels and responsiveness. To actively manage the flow of products and changes with suppliers to maximize service and minimize write off costs. This is a critical role within the business to ensure customer requirements are met with excellence and has a significant influence on the profitability of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build key relationships with suppliers, operations, and the sales team to deliver the right stock levels to support the company’s sales objectives.
- Provide great service by working closely with suppliers to understand their Supply Chain and identify opportunities that provide mutual benefit to both businesses.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product to our warehouse to support their customers
- Deliver a weekly accurate and up to date Supply Chain update to support the sales plan and in line with the stock levels.
- Deliver the right balance of service, cost, stock and responsiveness on behalf of the company’s suppliers to customers
Your Profile:
- Solid experience in a Supply Chain role. Ideally this experience is gained within a medical device company
- Degree qualification in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- Experience and knowledge of Supply Chain best practice and the ability to implement that vision within an entrepreneurial environment.
- Fluent Supply Chain knowledge of systems and processes from supplier to consumer
- Demonstrated track record of managing competing priorities
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your demand insights and identify gaps and opportunities
- Flexible and adaptable work style
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
Skills Required:
- Ideally previous experience is healthcare/medical device/capital equipment
- Strong Excel skills
- Fluent in Supply Chain knowledge of systems and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
