What is the role?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Planner / Supply Chain Coordinator / Expediator to join our dynamic team in Dandenong. To apply you MUST have experience in SAP and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Planning: Develop and maintain material requirements plans to support production schedules.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Expediting: Monitor and expedite orders to prevent delays in production schedules.
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing excess stock.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of materials.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping documents, purchase orders, and invoices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve logistical issues, such as delays or discrepancies in shipments, and implement contingency plans as needed.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between production, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure seamless operations.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, supply chain coordination, or expediting.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics management.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in SAP and using supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to train, mentor and guide a team to success.
