The Role
Lead the design and creation of a World Class Supply Chain, overseeing and optimising procurement and Supply Chain processes within our company. Negotiating with our raw material suppliers, freight, and 3PL partners to achieve long-term mutually beneficial outcomes.
Key to this role is displaying inspirational leadership and a strategic mindset to instil a high-performance culture, champion safety across the business, and actively strive to ensure delivery in full on time every time.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Driving and instilling the team’s compliance with WH&S practices, developing and ensuring Safe Operating Procedures are kept up to date.
- Providing leadership and direction to the procurement and Supply Chain teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Developing and executing comprehensive strategies for both procurement and Supply Chain management, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Supporting the Inventory Controller with raw material sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Champion the Supplier Relationships Management framework (SRM) to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of goods & services.
- Supporting the Logistics function to optimise transportation routes, and carriers to minimise costs and improve efficiency
- Ensuring an accurate & systematic approach to drive improvement in inventory management, materials planning, warehousing, and logistics.
- Coordinating and tracking all product movements to, from and in between Rockcote warehouses, distributors, and direct customers.
- Reporting on DIFOTIS and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metric.
- Analysing data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Recording and reporting any NCR (Non Conformance Report) across the procurement and Supply Chain function and work on Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s) to eliminate the NCR from happening again.
About You
You must be able to demonstrate the following experience, abilities, and personal attributes:
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, Procurement, or a related field.
- 10+ years' experience in a directly relevant role.
- Proven experience in both procurement and Supply Chain management roles, with a track record of success in optimising processes and delivering measurable results.
- Experienced in lean and 5S concepts, both in theory and practice.
- Demonstrated success leveraging an ERP system to manage forecasts, planning and inventory management across multiple sites.
Skills and abilities

- Passion and capability to design and implement an industry leading logistical capability and customer service experience to our various markets around Australia.
- Ability to design, build and report on key Supply Chain metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Supply Chain management software and tools, including ERP systems, demand planning software, inventory management systems & Microsoft Office.
