Job description

Join a successful well established expanding Australian company who designs, manufactures and distributes a range of Kitchen, Laundry and Bathroom ware products.  We operate multiple Distribution Centres and Showrooms around Australia supplying the country’s largest plumbing resellers.

As Supply Chain Support you will play an important role in ensuring our products reach their destination seamlessly.  Reporting to the Senior Demand Planner you will be liaising with overseas suppliers, our international freight forwarding partners and our distribution centres in order to help facilitate shipments.  You will be a primary contact for estimated date of arrivals (ETA’s) for both internal and external stakeholders.

Some of the key responsibilities will be:

  • Maintaining regular communication with overseas suppliers to coordinate orders, confirm shipment schedules and address any issues or delays promptly
  • Arrange and book shipments with freight forwarders ensuring timely pickup and delivery according to planned schedules
  • Track and monitor the status of shipments in transit, track their progress and proactively address any delays or issues that may arise during transportation
  • Maintain system and update of ETA status as changes occur 
  • Collaborate with our Distribution Centres (DC) to assist in scheduling inbound shipments, prioritised in line with DC schedule
  • Handling of all associated Shipping Documents
  • Assist with inter-DC transfers

The ideal candidate will:

  • Ideally, however not essential for the right candidate to have 2 years+ experience
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders
  • Be proficient in the use of Office 365, MS Excel and having used ERP systems
  • Have attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Be detail oriented with good accuracy and pride in your work
  • Be customer service oriented to both internal and external customers
  • Be well organised and team focussed.
