Scully RSV, a leading provider of refrigerated truck hire, sales, and manufacturing services, is seeking a dynamic Supply Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing and supply chain management for all production and workshop activities, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and components.
About the Role:
- Coordinate the purchasing and supply chain management for all production and workshop activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of supplier production/manufacturing cycles and mitigate the impact of supply delays/shortages.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on procurement lead times.
- Ensure all materials, components, and parts are available at the start of the production cycle through effective preplanning and collaboration with internal teams.
- Participate in regular meetings with operations teams to ensure material availability for production.
- Maintain appropriate physical inventory levels to prevent shortages and bottlenecks.
- Manage ERP system processes for procurement, inventory management, purchase order generation, receipting, and stock transfers.
- Proactively identify and implement internal process improvements, including supplier reviews, comparative pricing, and maintaining a preferred supplier base.
- Resolve supply issues and address complaints to maintain trust with internal teams.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on reorders, capital preparation jobs, repairs division service jobs, open purchase orders, and stock valuation.
- Support inter-branch stock transfers and logistics.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost control and adherence to budgets.
- Provide operational support and ticket logs for ERP system queries across all areas of the business.
About You:
- Proven experience in supply chain management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management processes.
- Knowledge of procurement practices and supplier management.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
