Qteq is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join the Internal Operations team, responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of inventory and consumables for our manufacturing team and customers.
About the role
The role is responsible for all inventory and consumables in and out of the warehouse, order picking, maintaining established safety stock levels, communicating with the business via established processes supporting Sales Order requirements, as well as updating systems and reporting requirements
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Procurement – Undertake weekly batch planning of inventory via Business Central, including replenishment of Consumable items via Kanban processes
- Inventory Management – Use of Business Central to efficiently manage and maintain safety stock levels, monitor replenishment needs to avoid stockouts whilst optimising business inventory levels
- Vendor Management – Establish and maintain solid relationships with Vendors, ensuring transparency of demand requirements to drive a quality and cost-efficient Supply Chain on time and in full.
- Warehouse Management – Facilitate the maintenance of the warehouse layout to support effective inventory management, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace with effective labelling and storage of inventory and assets to support efficient operations
- Logistics – Plan and organise the efficient delivery of inventory and assets with our logistics partners, including the shipping, receiving and distribution to support internal and external customer requirements
- Process Improvement – Leverage your skills and experiences to constantly challenge current practices to further streamline the Supply Chain
Key Attributes
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, logistics, and inventory management within a manufacturing and/or assembly environment
- Experience and proficiency in using Business Central or an equivalent ERP system
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain principles such as demand planning, vendor management and fulfilment of customer orders
- High attention to detail, data entry accuracy and record keeping
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for efficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Possession of strong organisational skills in managing and prioritising multiple tasks
- A formal qualification in the Supply Chain space would be desirable, however, demonstrated experience in the field will be considered
- Experience and understanding of LEAN principles
- Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence
