Supply Manager
(Permanent, Full-Time)

As the Supply Manager, you will lead and manage the organisation's procurement, warehousing, and internal distribution processes, introducing initiatives to improve processes and gain efficiencies. Your primary responsibility is to ensure cost-effective and efficient supply and inventory management service delivery to Bethesda Health Care facilities. This role involves negotiating with suppliers for the best procurement deals, monitoring their performance, and controlling overall inventory and costs. You will supervise and develop a small team to provide high-level service to internal customers and advise the Executive team on supply direction, planning, and provision to support their strategic and operational plans.
To be considered for this role, you are expected to possess the skills, knowledge, and experience deemed essential criteria for the position and demonstrate a willingness to lead by example, work with team members and be hands-on when required.
About You
You will be a highly organised and process-focused individual with previous experience leading a team in a supply role to enable you to succeed.
Essential
- Minimum two years of demonstrated leadership and management capacity for operating in a supply department
- Minimum five years of knowledge and demonstrated practice of supply and inventory management practices
- Knowledge of contemporary financial and contract management practices and systems related to the role
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with clinical leaders and executives
- A strong history of achievements related to implementing improvements in business or departmental efficiency
- Experience in strategic sourcing and contractual pricing agreement management, including service contracts
- Current Police Clearance
Desirable
- TAFE, Graduate, or Post-Graduate qualification in procurement, logistics, or warehousing management.
- Supply chain and procurement experience in a hospital environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing supply department operating metrics to drive operational accountability and visibility of performance across the business
