Founded in 2017, Water Analytics Australia has quickly established itself as a leader in innovative water purification solutions. Through extensive R&D collaboration with Local Universities, we aim to make high-quality water accessible to all Australians. Our products cater to a diverse range of industrial and commercial clients, including hospitals, hospitality companies, and the mining industry.
As a senior manager in the company, the Supply and Distribution Manager reports directly to the Chief Operation Director.
Key Responsibilities for the role are:
Logistics and Operations Management:
- Lead logistics operations focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. -Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes and adapt to project-specific needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure sufficient stock levels to meet
project and operational requirements.
- Develop long-term logistical and supply chain strategies in alignment with company objectives.
- Implement risk management processes to mitigate potential disruptions in supply chain operations.
Cost and Freight Management:
- Oversee budgeting and costing for all freight operations, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Implement strategies to minimize losses and enhance transportation efficiency during all stages.
Supplier and Transportation Management:
- Manage relationships with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Prepare and manage payment processes for all transportation needs, including regular and project-specific requirements.
- Actively develop and manage supplier partnerships to strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Ensure quality control, conduct price comparisons, and strictly monitor the logistics of incoming and outgoing goods.
Project Coordination and Management:
- Participate in project planning and management, particularly for customized water purification installations.
- Coordinate with project teams and clients to ensure seamless delivery and implementation.
Warehouse and Equipment Oversight:
- Manage the company’s three warehouses located in Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane, including staffing and equipment.
- Communicate with leasing agents to ensure optimal warehouse operations.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish and update transportation plans to meet project deadlines and operational goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics partners to ensure continuous improvement.
Successful candidates will have the following:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor qualifications from a recognised Australian University in commerce, business administration, logistics, marketing, or other business related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in logistics and Distribution management, with a demonstrated track record in operational enhancement and efficiency.
- Experience should have been gained in businesses with a substantial scale. Candidates with experience only as a sole traders or in a small business will not be suited
- Proven experience in logistics and Distribution management within an industrial or commercial sector.
- Strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Resilience under pressure and capability to adapt to dynamic business environments.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively among our three warehouses located in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.
