About the role
As part of the Supply Chain team, this position leads the Production planning and purchasing teams to support our production plant and deliver on our service commitment to customers.
Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for the following.
- Ownership of the production plan from 4 weeks + to deliver a capacity constrained plan to deliver service levels within inventory targets
- Responsible for long term capacity planning
- Leading and developing a team of planners and purchasers, and partnering with teams on NPD, SLOB, projects, production scheduling and supplier management to meet service level targets at the lowest cost
- Responsible for inventory levels and driving planning optimisation initiatives to deliver valid production plans and supply to production and customers
- Accountable for the purchasing team and plans to supply materials on time and in full to the production plant
- Partner closely with procurement on suppler issues and management
About You
To be considered for an interview, our successful candidate will demonstrate the following.
- 5+ years of Production planning experience, preferably within food or at a minimum FMCG
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Motivated, with a growth mindset and problem-solving orientation with the capability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Very strong with planning systems (ideally SAP), data and analytics
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving common objectives
