About the role
The Supply Support Lead works closely with operational teams, direct reports and the wider Supply Chain department to ensure effective coordination and delivery of all Supply Chain operational activities and Supply Chain contractual deliverables for In Service Support (ISS) contracts and maintenance activities.
The role is responsible to the Supply Support Manager for the accurate and timely provision of routine supply services and stock assessment, to maintain accuracy and satisfy demands made in support of assets under contract.
The role supports the Sustainment Management to oversee the day to day management of Supply Chain operations and successful execution of ISS contracts.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage high performing Supply Support Teams, ensuring Teams comply with Support Management Plans.
- Contribute to Supply Chain Improvement activities
- Supplier Relationship Management, driving best practise Process and optimisation of Approved Supplier Database.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Cost code expense reconciliation.
- Provide obsolescence support through Supply Chain Obsolescence surveillance
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Essential
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).
- 5 + Years relevant experience within a Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing or Defence Organisation.
- Working experience in a computerised ERP environment.
- Strong leader and coach, with excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
- Proven capability and experience in leading a team responsible for performing key Supply Support Management, planning, and scheduling duties in a Marine Support, Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Experience with, and understanding of, asset management standards, systems, and processes.
Desirable
- Certificate III in Front Line Supervision or higher.
- Tertiary level qualifications in supply chain management, logistics or similar.
- Pronto, AMOS or IFS experience.
- High level Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of Configuration management systems and processes.
