Position descriptionWe seek an enthusiastic staff to join our fast pace Administration area of the Histology Department. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include performing a wide range of histology administration tasks as per the following:
- Troubleshooting- investigating and actioning discrepancies with calling surgeries, doctors and theatres regarding patient details, sites, missing specimens, missing label, missing dictation sites and adding comments regarding correct details.
- Cross checking pending list, outstanding list, un-imaged, un-allocated and late list
- Dealing with sending away of fresh samples when required
- Consultations- Booking in second opinions into the system and assigning to correct pathologist and ‘copy to’ doctors
- Emails- Regularly checking emails, actioning accordingly.
- Phone Calls- Inbound and many outbound calls as well as taking messages accordingly when required
- MDT’S Billing- Booking in cases into the system to bill to Medicare

- Experience in administrations role/s or similar to position description
- Full time hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm
- Excellent phone manner and office computer skills
- Attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
