We have an opportunity for a Support Services Manager to lead the Support Services teams at Bethanie Waters, located in Port Kennedy. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 4:00pm.
Bethanie Waters is a modern 160 bed aged care facility offering dementia, respite, high & low care to our residents. Bethanie Waters offer residents laundry and room cleaning services, on-site catering preparing tasty and nutritious meals, and several communal and open spaces including dining rooms and lounge areas offering tea and coffee making facilities.
About the role:
Reporting to the Facility Manager this position will lead and manage our hospitality teams across site. Working closely with your peers you will play a key role in driving the customer experience for our residents at Waters. Responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, staff and all relevant key stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement is an ongoing priority too
- Ensure resources are managed appropriately including kitchen equipment, food and laundry equipment
- Develop, promote, and deliver an outstanding dining experience for all residents
- Ensure clothing and linen laundry processes are efficient and effective for all residents
- Allocate and manage appropriate levels of resources (people and materials) to ensure the Support Services are delivered appropriately and meets customer expectations
- Ensure all areas of compliance (ie food safety, infection control, WHS, etc) are met through regular monitoring, auditing and improvement activities
You’re a hospitality professional with a passion for providing excellent service for your customers. You will also bring:
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of staff in a Support Services area
- Knowledge of food services including relevant legislation
- Understanding of the principles and tools of quality improvement
- Demonstrated budgeting skills with an ability to meet defined budget targets and outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, reallocate tasks and manage many site-based projects at one time
- A Chef qualification or Aged Care sector experience is also desirable
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations and NDIS worker screening clearance
