About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Employment Preparation team in Wagga Wagga. This position is full time and will operate Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:06pm. The Support Workerwill work as part of a supportive and collaborative team to assist in the delivery of programs designed to increase the skills, confidence and independence of people with disability.
Reporting to the Employment Preparation Coordinator, key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the delivery of the School Leavers Employment Support (SLES) program which is designed to support participants in joining the workforce
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and their families, local schools and local employers
- Provide support and assistance for SLES and ADE participants within their workplaces to meet the goals set out in their NDIS plans
- Deliver supports flexibly to best achieve outcomes on a client by client basis
- Support participants by providing transport to and from placements as required
