Flourish Community Solutions has contractor opportunities in various areas across the Sunshine Coast & Sunshine Coast Hinterland areas. Various and many hours are available for daytime, evening, and weekend work, Some contract hours are suitable to juggle around other employment. Contracts are usually short 12 - 24 weeks and picked up at the contractor's discretion and their suitability.

This would suit professionals working in direct care support work, residential care, case managers, behavior Support Workers, family intervention, and social workers. We seek those looking for opportunities to utilise their trauma-informed experience, child protection awareness, and family intervention knowledge.
Your Opportunity:
In this role, you will facilitate individualized support to achieve sustainable change in families with complex needs, whilst working alongside the family to prevent a family from entering or re-entering the statutory child protection system.
You must be personable, caring, and have a genuine passion for helping others. Direct work with families and young people is a must and you will be required to guide, mentor, and facilitate their development, implement support strategies, connect them to services and community, support and guide them in safe behavior or safe parenting, mental health support and drive their intervention journey forward with them at the forefront.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist therapeutic intervention to children and families experiencing child protection issues and direct youth support, working with mental health, DFV, AOD, Neurodiverse, and complex behaviors may be required.
- Assistance to access community connections and education in parenting upskilling and psychosocial support is required.
- Transportation to appointments or contact arrnagements.
- Engage with families and young people, explore mutual obligations, complete required forms, and develop collaborative goals from a strengths-based, child-centered, family-focused practice framework
- Engage with the community, parents, and children to enhance their opportunities, reduce their vulnerabilities, and connect to their community
- Provide early intervention-focused services, support families to strengthen the care and protection of children living at home, strengthen parenting practice, and increase the safety and well-being of the family.
- Develop and drive the case plan working alongside families and stakeholders, providing appropriate links and connections where possible
- Respect and seek cultural advice to ensure client families have access to a range of culturally safe support options, where appropriate.

The rate is based on qualifications and experience. We are looking for Support Workers who are interested in supporting change and embracing individuality and are highly driven to achieve outcomes. Requirements for Success:
Desirable - Diploma or Tertiary Qualifications in Youth Work, Youth Justice, Community Support, Social Work, Social Welfare, teaching, etc.
Consideration Cert 4 level - plus proven experience in this field.
- Experience in implementing therapeutic interventions with young people and/or families.
- Understanding of Child Protection legislation and child protection concerns and risk factors, problem solvers
- Demonstrated understanding of Early Intervention principles in working with families with multiple and complex needs
- Knowledge and awareness of community and regional connections to assist clients with their access to community
- Case management experience
- Have a creative perspective when working with case management.
- Work alongside the leadership team to create successful outcomes for families.
