About the role
We have a permanent part time role for a Support Worker to joinour Davis House team located at our Wembley site. Shifts caninclude earlies, lates and nights with the opportunity for morehours when necessary.
Davis House is a respite centre offering day and night supportto people living with dementia Monday to Friday, providing muchneeded respite to family members and carers. As a supportworker, you will provide person-centred care to our clients,planning and engaging in individual and group activities, as wellas facilitating socialisation and connection withothers. Davis House also runs bus trips twice a week, takingmembers of the community out for lunch and socialisation.Experience driving a minibus isessential.
We are looking for people who are energetic, confident, caringand compassionate with a heart for people living with dementia.Dementia-specific training is provided, and ongoing training anddevelopment is encouraged and supported.
About you
You’ll have a passion for supporting people with dementiato live their best lives, while also having:
- Certificate III or higher in Aged Care or related field
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Support Worker
- Previous experience in facilitating group activities
- Ability to drive a minibus
- Full Driver’s license
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
