Bannister In Home Care is seeking Disability/Community Support Worker’s for Personal Care in a High Intensity Support (Female) role.
About The Role
We are seeking experienced Disability/Community Support Worker's who are responsible and proactive, for shifts located in the Burleigh Waters. The ideal candidate/s will have the availability and flexibility to work Monday to Sunday over a range of shifts (AM, PM – most shifts are from 6pm to midnight Monday through to Sunday).
You will be providing support to our clients in their day-to-day lives, by assisting and encouraging them to participate in tasks such as (but not limited to):
- Personal Care - showering, dressing, bowel care
- Manual Handling - transfers
- Domestic Assistance - cleaning, cooking, shopping, laundry
- Driving and Community Access - driving to appointments, shops
- Companionship - providing company and friendship
Personal Attributes
- Must have Community/Aged/Disability Care experience
- Must be Physically fit
- Be available for shifts 7 days a week from (most shifts are from 6pm to midnight)
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene
- Professionalism, discretion, understanding and respectful in relation to the client and family
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Aged, Disability, Individual Support or other relevant qualification
- Minimum of 6 months paid work experience in a similar role
- Must have bowel care experience
- Current CPR, First Aid and National Police Check
- Own reliable transport and current drivers licence
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening card
- Evidence of Covid Vaccinations
- Australian Work Rights verification
- Two relevant work references
