The Opportunity
In home Support Workers provide a range of care and services designed to meet our clients’ needs and goals in a flexible and supportive manner. The role may include assistance with personal care, home care tasks, meal preparation, transport, socialisation and other responsibilities.
This role will be filling in casual shifts as needed from around Viewbank, Doncaster & Eltham. You will cover casual shifts as needed and support with new starters as biddy shifts also. This role will require a minimum 4x days per week of availability.
Skills & Experience - We are looking for people who have the following…..
- Want to work as a mentor & casual relief role
- Support new staff with buddy shifts when commencing with new clients.
- Pick up casual shifts/ cancellations as needed
- Are passionate, caring and committed to supporting people in their own home to maximise their quality of life
- Are able to assist in all activities of daily living- based upon the clients needs and goals- including personal care, domestic assistance, escorts to appointments, socialisation activities, meal preparation to name a few
- Available to work minimum 4x days per week
- Available to work between Viewbank, Doncaster & Eltham

Essential criteria:
- Minimum 1-year experience working as a Support Worker
- Minimum Cert III in Disability, Aged Care or Individual Support
- Available minimum 4x days per week
- Good Written & Verbal skills
- A current driver’s license with your own car
- Full comprehensive car insurance
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- CPR and First Aid Certificates
- National Police Check (or happy to obtain one)
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- A working smartphone
- Up to date COVID/ Flu Vaccinations
- Take on Domestic Assistant duties for shifts
