THE ROLE:
EPIS is seeking Support Workers to join the East Pilbara Independence Support (EPIS) team in Marble Bar. We have an exceptional opportunity for Support Workers to provide aged care and disability support services to the Marble Bar community. We currently have Fulltime position available.

About Us
EPIS has been delivering a wide range of out-patient aged care and support services to the most vulnerable members of Marble Bar, Newman, Tom Price and surrounding communities for over twenty years. These services include day centre support, home care, and cottage respite and are delivered by our multi-disciplinary team.
About Marble Bar
Marble Bar is a remote outback town located in the heart of the Pilbara region of Western Australia, with a population of approximately 200 people. Situated at a distance of approximately 200 kilometers southeast of Port Hedland, Marble Bar offers a unique blend of isolation and connection to the larger regional center.
KEY DUTIES:
- Diverse duties in line with providing support to help enable clients to achieve their goals
- Support clients with domestic assistance, personal care, individual support, and social group support
- Provide Day Centre services including transport services
- Support clients to access their community, build relationships, engage with activities of their choice, attend appointments and access amenities
YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE ASSURED BY HAVING:
- Excellent understanding of the life challenges and barriers for Indigenous Australians
- Experience in working with Indigenous peoples in a community setting.
- Good level of clinical problem-solving skills
- Friendly and caring nature person with cheerful attitude
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Excellent computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Database Systems
- Possess a current WA Drivers Licence,
- Experience in the Aged Care Sector and / or Not-for-Profit environment (Desirable)
- Certificate III in Aged Care/Disability (or willingness to obtain one)
- Current and Valid Police Clearance no more than 6 month old (or willing to obtain one)
- Current CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain one
- Has full working rights.
