Role Requirements & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a wide range of general & specific duties to ensure the well-being and skill building of our clients 1:1. Your role will involve:
- Administering medication and adhering to all individual support plans.
- Completing concise and factual case notes, shift reports, and incident reports.
- Providing personal care
- Potential Manual handling tasks such as bed positioning, personal care, hoist operation, commode assistance, and manual/power wheelchair support.
- Performing household management tasks inclding building the capacity of our participants in undertaking ADL's. Our STA can also aid in a participants transition to independent living. Tasks, include cleaning, washing, ironing, meal preparation, bed making and cooking fresh wholesome meals.
- Implementing behaviour management strategies to support clients' emotional and mental well-being.
- Planning and implementing activities including social outings to promote community inclusion during a participants stay
- A strong understanding of person-centered active support or a genuine willingness to embrace this model of care
- Demonstrated skills in providing assistance to adult clients with intellectual/physical disabilities, medical needs, and mental health diagnoses
- Demonstrated common sense and a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, respect, and uphold professional boundaries.

Renovations at Little Tern Beach House will commence in mid-June. 🚧
Nestled in a serene beach setting at Cresent Head, NSW, our charming beach house offers more than just a place to stay:

- Kitchen Delights: Whip up delicious meals in our brand-new kitchen, complete with American oak countertops, vintage stools, and all the tools you need, including a slow cooker and composting worm farm for eco-friendly waste management.
- Outdoor Oasis: Unwind in our outdoor haven, boasting a woodfire pizza oven, fire pit, and hot/cold outdoor shower for post-beach refreshment. Your furry friends can roam safely in our secure fencing while you soak up the sun on our spotted gum decking.

To Apply Successful candidates must be available to work a 24/7 roster. The majority of STA booking occur across friday-sunday. Therefore, to be a successful applicant you must have that availability, weekday availability is also desirable, as some stays may be weeklong.
Shifts are structured as:
- 0600-1400
- 1400-2200 with sleepover 2200-0600
An ETA for the opening of bookings to our NDIS Participants is unknown at this stage, as this is dependent on renovations and securing the righ casual staff to rely upon providing the professional support we are known for who is also fun, active and innovative in making these stays inclusive and memorable. You must be adaptable, we will not know our participants intimately and so you must be proactive, observant, have detailed clear notes, so support plans can be created for future stays.
