About the role:
We are looking for friendly, trustworthy and caring people, wanting to join like-minded colleagues who are making a difference to the lives of others.
We are seeking a Support Worker (Social Support Individual & Transport) to join our team focused on the Mandurah region, and servicing the surrounding areas. As a Support Worker, you will help clients to engage in social activities and transport clients to and from appointments to assist them to participate more fully in the life they choose.
Hours/Days of work –
3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) Part time role - 7.6 hours per day
Role Specific Requirements:
Drive a People Who Care vehicle whilst assisting clients.
Provide enthusiastic and engaging Social Support.
Ensure that appropriate client records and data on services is maintained.
Assist with regular evaluations of client need and service delivery.
Assist the Service Coordinator with the required admin tasks.
Maintain basic vehicle upkeep and tidiness.
Qualification and Experience:
A strong commitment to assisting those in need in the community
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate with the elderly and people with disability.
The ability to understand and respond appropriately to clients' needs and expectations.
The ability to work in a busy environment.
Australian work rights / appropriate visa.
Accredited first aid and CPR training.
Current WA driver’s licence (C Class - Essential) and Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation.
Current National Police Check (not older than 6 Months).
Understanding of working with people from diverse backgrounds.
