Professional Care Services (PCS) is a small short term accommodation provider located in Ryde. We pride ourselves on a personalized service that places the needs of the participants at the forefront of all decisions. Mostly working with teenagers and young adults, this role offers you the opportunity to make a difference for our participants and their family. The successful candidate will be provided with training and support to feel confident in the role.
Qualifications & experience
- Desirable Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent.
- Previous employment experience in the disability/community services sector
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide high quality support that addresses participants needs.
- Support participants to develop their skills and independence.
- Work in conjunction with other staff to perform duties as directed.
- Provide personal care for those participants that require support.
- Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
- Monitoring the wellbeing of clients and reporting on their progress.
- Provide support to young people who have complex needs and behaviours.
- Sleepovers shifts beginning at 4pm and finishing at 9.30am the following week.
- Drivers license is required to support participants in the community.
