Your OpportunityThis role will provide support to clients from diverse backgrounds and also assist in the daily operations of the crisis units.
Your key responsibilities will be to:- Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and accessing medications
- Respond to any emergencies by accessing required internal or external support service
- Assist with the coordination of client attendance at different programs, services and community meetings
- Assist in general supervision of the clients throughout the services to ensure appropriate support
- Collaborate with Unit Coordinators and other staff by providing client coordination and monitoring
- Contribute to the general running of the centre and undertake shift checks as required
- Complete a range of other administrative tasks for the efficient running of the centre.
- Ensure correct procedures are followed in relation to petty cash reimbursements, rent payments and occupation fees
Requirements for Success- Relevant experience in homelessness and working in residential setting
- Comprehensive understanding of the issues and needs of service users particularly homelessness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
