This is an exciting time for the Newpin service and we are looking for a person who can fulfil the role of Support Worker within our program. You will have a can do attitude and the ability to multi task as no two days will be the same.
The Support Worker works closely with the Attachment Coach and other team members to support the delivery of high-quality services to families engaged in the reunification process.
This role is located at our Smithfield Centre.
This role is responsible for:
- Developing parental capacity
- Developing positive relationships and attachment
- Provide support to the Attachment Coach to facilitate the care of children
- Work as part of a team, sharing responsibilities and providing support, in staff absences and busy service periods
- Provide transport for parents to and from the Newpin Centre
- Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality with respect to service users and organisational matters
As a part of this job role, you will have the responsibility of maintaining comprehensive and accurate case notes, collaborating closely with your team members to ensure that all necessary assessments, data collection, and reporting are completed in a timely and precise manner.
You will be expected to provide essential administrative support by managing meeting agendas, recording minutes, and producing detailed meeting minutes.
About You
You will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Certificate III Community Services or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to help maintain a culture of motivated team members
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience on culturally appropriate engagement with Aboriginal communities
- Previous customer service experience
- Driver's Licence and feel confident driving with clients
