Role Details:
Reporting to the Surface Mining Manager at St Ives, you will be responsible for directing mining operations, including drill and blast and load and haul, and assigning tasks and resources to achieve Business Plan requirements, contributing directly to the achievement of an optimal production profile from Surface mining operations via the execution of the mine plan. Ensuring the integration of short-term planning and production requirements through to Life of Mine requirements is in alignment with the site's strategic direction.

Enabling safe, efficient & effective production delivery through input to robust production plans
Ensuring quality of mining execution is maintained at a standard that facilitates safe efficient and low-cost production.
Manage direct reports to ensure delivery in line with Golf Fields values.
Input to manning, fleet, and infrastructure requirements for effective and efficient mining operations
Manage mining activities and direct costs to ensure budgets are met.
Securing the confidence of appropriate personnel to make sound business decisions by diligently applying knowledge, skills and abilities in the provision of expert mining advice.
Ensure a consultative approach is utilised in the preparation of reports, production plans etc by actively seeking client input, peer review and evaluations, making use of organisational knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes.
About you:
WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate
Extensive proven experience working in the mining industry including a leadership position.
Significant Open Cut Mining Experience.
High-level proficiency with Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Deswik, and other mining-specific software.
Significant experience in Computer modelling methods.
Significant exposure and familiarity with Australian mining regulations.
