MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
ENT Clinics are located in Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne; we are a group of National ENT Medical Specialists.
We are currently growing our teams and seeking part-time Medical Receptionists for 2-4 days a week at either our Benowa or our Tugun clinics. We are also looking at increasing our casual Medical Receptionist team.
Our Surgical Medical Receptionists are essential for our clinics to provide high-quality patient care and top-level administrative support for our doctors / surgeons.
We have some flexibility of days and hours between Monday - Friday, no weekend work!

Your key duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Excelling in welcoming and assisting our patients
- Answering phone calls, emails and making patient bookings (Genie or other medical software experience desired)
- Liaising with specialists, hospitals and health funds
- Processing payments for Medicare/DVA/WorkCover/TAC
- Preparing clinical equipment and consumables for consulting sessions
- Sterilisation of instruments
- Assisting practice manager with admin overflow as required
- Organising patient billing and medical records
- Preparing and receipting patient accounts
- Ensuring the patients, hospitals and doctors have the appropriate paperwork before surgery
- Send out patient reports/letters and information as required
- Liaise with referring doctors and their staff
- Flexible to assist with a variety of tasks as needed.
Skills required:
- Previous experience in a medical clinic, preferably in a surgical practice.
- Articulate and warm customer service with the ability to use empathy appropriately and to calm upset patients
- A sound understanding of the importance of client confidentiality
- High level of professional communication skills in both verbal and written English
- Ability to work independently in a positive, proactive manner, as well as being an excellent team player
- Be competent in using Genie software (desirable not essential),
- In the future be able to train new employees
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to type a minimum 60wpm, and to type while speaking to patients
- A proactive, flexible and can-do attitude
