EPSA is seeking a Surveyor to be employed by the company on a full-time permanent basis. This is your chance to unlock your full potential and make a lasting impact. You will work within a high performing team.
About the role:
- Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:
- Provide Survey Support to the project
- Assist with mine planning, drill and blast and scheduling to meet the operational targets.
- Take into consideration the safety and environmental impacts of surveying activities.
- Complete and verify project survey volumes and quantity reconciliations as required.
- Conduct EOM pickups and volume calculations.
- Liaise with Engineers in developing daily, weekly, and monthly plans to optimise production levels.
- Prepare weekly and end of Month reports as requested.
- Complete on-site RPAS drone surveys/scans/photos/incident reporting.
- Develop and review survey standards and procedures for the project
- Create 3D models of mining sites using design software and digital imaging.
- Chart surface areas using GPS/ drones/ Laser Scanners.
Lifestyle
As the Surveyor you will be based on site atthe Commodore Minein Millmerran, Queensland on a rotating roster.
To be successful you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in surveying, together with at least five years open cut mining and/or civil construction experience.
- High level of computer literacy is essential.
- Technical and analytical skills in relation to survey and mining activities and planning.
- Strong organisational, communication and planning skills.
- Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.
- Have a very high commitment to health, safety, quality and the environment
- Team player attitude.
- Understanding of mining principles, design concepts and operations (particularly their relation to survey activities).
- RPAS certified.
- Proficient in relevant survey software including Maptek Vulcan & Point Studio.
- Current Coal Board medical
- Current Standard 11
