Position Summary
With the advent of our inaugural ESG & Sustainability Strategy, we are now on the hunt for a motivated, practically minded and driven Sustainability Analyst to join our newly created sustainability function where your love of data, numbers and their meaning will be an incredible addition to the team.
Your insights and ability to visualise our sustainability performance through numbers is integral to our successful delivery of our sustainability program, building capability and awareness within our operations and creating sustainable solutions for our clients.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of ESG & Sustainability you will be responsible for developing the protocols and approaches for IVE’s sustainability-related data collection, gathering required data for our compliance reporting requirements, supporting the development of site sustainability capability in data collection and performance monitoring and analysing insights to support decision making.
Sustainability related data will primarily include our energy consumption data and greenhouse gas emissions; waste to landfill, re-use and recycling data; water consumption data, packaging data, data gathered for supplier surveys and footprint calculations, and human rights-related and modern slavery metrics. This may vary from time to time as our programs expand.
This role will drive improvements in sustainability-related practices across the company, track progress against our sustainability goals, and support the engagement and development our workforce’s sustainability capabilities.
Key requirements and personal attributes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental / Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in consulting or in-house within the print, manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, mining or utilities sectors
- Outstanding proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python
- Strong experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting
