Role Purpose
The Sustainability Data Analyst will join CPBs Project Sustainability team, to support the delivery of sustainability targets and industry leading initiatives for clients. Working within the sustainability project team, the primary duties include-
- Liaise with utility suppliers, Project team & supply chain to establish and manage consistent and robust data transfer processes;
- Identify poor data quality issues within databases and work with client to include corrective actions, including measures which improve the efficiency of data capture.
- Undertake data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement and potential cost reduction;
- Support with the preparation of sustainability reporting in accordance with globally recognised protocols, such as GRI;
- Serve as point of contact for the data auditing process and liaise with suppliers, project team and contractors
- Maintaining benchmarking data of portfolio sustainability performance across NABERS, Green Star and ISCA industry tools.
- Coordinating project teams and third-party data providers and consultants on ongoing data capture and system-wide improvement opportunities.
- Consolidating, interpreting and summarising datasets to provide timely and reliable reports for both voluntary GRESB, GRI and mandatory NGERS.
- Review Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions and energy use performance across the organisation to track progress towards our net zero carbon target
- Support the submission of green building rating tools (eg. Green Star Design & As-built)
- Developing data driven relevant and engaging materials for internal and external communications
- Supporting the development and asset management teams by providing analysis on ESG initiatives
- Understanding business drivers regarding carbon and environmental management as well as operational data aspects of supply, billing and payment data flows and integrity processes.
- Experience preparing and coordinating assurance for environmental datasets for sustainability reporting and mandatory environmental datasets for NGERS.
- Experience with environmental management databases.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and preferably Power BI
- Experience of working with external providers and customers to gather and collate data across multiple software
