Reporting to the Director, Energy Efficiency and Conservation, the Sustainability Coordinator (SC) works in a team environment with other Energy Efficiency and Conservation staff, other Health Authority units and stakeholders, as well as independently. The SC is responsible for guiding and organizing Island Health s efforts to operationalize the organization s sustainability policy as well as developing and coordinating the Green Champion Program, Island Health s new staff sustainability engagement program. Travel is a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island health Authority (Island Health) in accordance with the service assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Environmental/Resource Management, Business, Marketing, Public Relations or related field. A minimum of 3 years' experience coordinating projects and/or implementing programs in a complex, multi-site organization. Additional certifications such as LEED Green Associate, Community Based Social Marketing and Project Management are desired. Health care experience would be an asset or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills And Abilities- Valid BC Driver's license required.
