You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the implementation of Sustainability Governance, including the new Allianz Sustainability Integration Standard and related policies.
- Designing the monitoring plan and related activities to lift the standard of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements across the enterprise.
- Interpreting legal, regulatory, and community sustainability-related requirements and expectations to support the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy, including environmental, climate, social, and governance areas.
- Taking an enterprise view to support the sustainability strategy and governance by planning reviews of policies, systems, committees, frameworks, processes, and training, including supporting a strengthened sustainability due diligence system.
- Working with Line 1 and Line 2 Risk Teams to advise on and strengthen enterprise Sustainability/ESG risk management, supporting governance, and drive compliance too Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Climate Change Financial Risks (CPG 229), employee understanding of ESG risks and ensuring appropriate key risk indicator (KRI) monitoring, risk assessments, and risk reporting are undertaken quarterly to manage and mitigate risks.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, environment, risk or similar with extensive experience in working in the General Insurance Industry, or financial services.
- Extensive Sustainability/ESG governance, risk, compliance, operations.
- Experience working with regulators and/ or government entities and industry stakeholders.
- Experience in leading and management external consultant and vendors.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative compliance requirements in relation to finance industry, environment, climate, social and governance related.
