About your new role:
Working as the Sustainability Manager you will serve as a conduit between those accountable for the sustainable execution of EQL activities and those charged with governance of the organisation. You will maintain a focus on our sustainability in a changing environment in partnership with the communities we operate in.
You will facilitate the maturing and operationalisation of an EQL sustainability framework and strategy, and ensure the EQL Board direction translates into a co-ordinated approach and consistent delivery.
To ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and accountability against community and stakeholder expectations, you will oversee the quality of sustainability related deliverables and work closely with those responsible for strategy, asset management, commercial oversight, environmental and social affairs, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
In your day you will:
• Facilitate the identification and exploration of new ways of sustaining value for the business and the society.
• Design and deliver sustainability training programs, workshops and events that raise awareness.
• Provide advice to leaders, including interpreting and applying industry knowledge and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Drive improvement in governance, quality, and processes.
• Ensure consistency and integrity of documents and deliverables.
You will be located at Newstead or any major EQL location. The remuneration for your new role starts from $164K plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and $186K plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.

About you:
You hold a Tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental science, business management or other relevant discipline.
You possess strong project management skills and have a proven track record in achieving deliverables in decentralised environments.
You will leverage your outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills to achieve appropriate outcomes through collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders. At times your strong influencing skills and business partnering experience will also be required.
Partnered with your extensive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability experience, your knowledge of and experience in sustainability, stakeholder management or policy management in the general government sector would be beneficial to your success in this role.
