We are currently looking for a Manager to join our Workplace team at Deloitte. The Sustainability Manager will be responsible for driving Deloitte World Climate objectives to Net Zero for Workplace Services and the role forms part of the Workplace Compliance Department.
This role primarily involves the identification, management, design, delivery, and verification of Net Zero related activities, working in conjunction with operations and project teams across the function. Providing overall accountability for the Net Zero Pathway within Workplace Services with single point of contact for all projects, reporting, ensuring consistency and control of projects across UK&I portfolio.

The WS Compliance team are a specialist SME team within the WS function ensuring statutory compliance across the UK, firm including ISO accreditation across a number key disciplines including sustainability.
The role acts a business partner within the WS function and supply chain including collaboration with the wider enabling function and liaison with core functions such as the WorldClimate teams, CoRe and Real Estate.
Working with the wider WS Management teams, it's essential the individual is responsible for conveying own insights and experience in support of the evolution of Workplace Services Net Zero Pathway. Some key areas of accountability:
- Manage the governance and the programme delivery of net zero objectives, including the provision of SME support to the WS Net Zero board
- Programme management and ultimate ownership of net zero workstreams, e.g. energy optimisation, circular economy and behaviour change
- Responsibility for development and maintenance of the WS Sustainability Strategy and Operational Plan
- Key point of contact for the collaboration and liaison with all Sustainability Networks and related Enabling Functions
- Ensure understanding and communication of broader World Climate sustainability workstreams associated with social value, air quality and biodiversity
- Provide SME support to Workplace Services, representing the business unit with NSE & Global affiliates.

Your focus upon solutions and support the firm WorldClimate objectives and manifests into the support and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues:
Essentials
- Technical (building services) or sustainability formal qualification to degree level or equivalent
- Proven sustainability experience managing Net Zero programs or initiatives
- Excellent communication skills - highly articulate both orally and in written work
- 3rd Party / Supplier Management experience
Desirable
- Experience of successfully working and engaging with stakeholders of various levels within an organisation, to achieve net zero objectives.
- Comprehensive understanding of net zero related technologies and associated data systems
- Active role as lead assessor or management of ISO14001 / ISO50001 platforms
