A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityJoin ASC's Risk Management team to manage and facilitate the development of ASC's sustainability framework, implementation approach, and coordinate the delivery of ongoing reporting requirements leading a team of subject matter experts across the organisation.It is ASC's vision is to achieve excellence in environment, social and governance (ESG) to create a sustainable and responsible future whilst building and maintaining Australia's sovereign submarines. This will be done by effectively managing our impacts and dependencies on nature to minimise harm and create positive impact, positively impacting the people we engage with through our operations and supply chain, and establishing a robust governance framework that promotes transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making.Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate ASC's Sustainability Management Framework (RMF) in accordance with applicable Australian legislation and international standards such as the International Financial Reporting Standards as it relates to the disclosure of sustainability-related financial information.
- Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the framework. Identify ways to achieve positive sustainability outcomes and assist the business in the implementation of related sustainability improvement initiatives.
- Build an effective ESG Working Group across the business, including establishing and overseeing awareness, training, and coaching.
- Work actively with ASC's IT function to establish supporting ESG data capturing and reporting systems.
- Lead the definition of assurance requirements in in alignment with the three lines of defense approach and primary contact with ASC's external audit providers on sustainability matters.
- Experience in establishing and implementation of Sustainability frameworks, consisting of Environment, Social & Governance (ESG).
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills with subject matter experts.
- Previous experience in leading a team
- Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences.
- Effective team member, with the capability of developing professional relationships with others outside of their immediate team.
- Works well without direct supervision and has strong initiative to be a self-starter. Must be able to manage their own priorities and utilize their time management skills to achieve objectives and manage workloads. Is able to take responsibility for delegated tasks as required by the Head of Risk Management.
