The ideal candidate will be committed, well organised and will be passionate about educating and developing the lifelong skill of swimming. They will pay strong attention to specific delivery of the learn to swim program and have exceptional customer service skills. They will also have experience in the delivery and administration of aquatic programs, with potential wider industry knowledge. An understanding of water quality and management of chemicals is preferred but not essential.
This role will require the candidate to work closely with the Managing Director, as well as Program Managers at our other locations to ensure consistency across the operational group.
Responsibilities;
· The continued growth and development of the Learn to Swim School
· Ensuring excellence in the delivery of the LTS and Squad programs, including but not limited to scheduling, staff rosters, program planning requirements and delivery.
· Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the swimming pool, including but not limited to water quality, pool testing, plant room operations and facility maintenance.
· Actively manage, recruit, coordinate and mentor the cohort of LTS Teachers.
· Administration tasks such as phone calls, emails, invoicing, collecting payments,managing attendance, stock ordering and end of day procedures.
Ensure the safety of the staff and clients following OHS procedures and an awareness and mitigation of dangers in an operational aquatic facility.
Key Selection Criteria:
Essential;
· Experience in actively managing a Learn to Swim Program
· Level 2 First Aid Certificate (prior to, or soon after, commencing)
· Current Provide/Perform CPR (prior to commencing)
· Working with Children’s Check
· National Police Check / Criminal History Check
· Knowledge and experience using computer software such as Word, Excel and Google Docs
· Strong Communication, organisational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Desirable;
· Sports Management / Business Degree and coaching experience
· Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety / Swim Australia Teacher
· MYOB/Xero Accounting Programs experience
· Experience using computer software database management programs eg Swimdesk, iclass pro or Centreman
· Austswim/Swim Australia extension courses.
Pool Plant Operators training or experience
